I know the average overall is around a 29, but does anybody have the info of what the average in-state ACT is for admitted students? So students from the state of Michigan. Thanks.

I do not think it will be much lower, if at all. The difference between OOS and IS is the acceptance rate, not the standards of admission. Acceptance rate for IS students will be significantly higher (I am guessing, and this is a guess, over 50% for IS compared to 25% for OOS).

The average ACT for last year’s class was a 31. But, like Alexandre said, it shouldn’t be much lower than the total average.

Looking at all averages and from what I have heard from admissions counselors and students at UofM, 30 and above is a great range to be in.

Anything below a 30 is dangerous, try to be 31+ to be in good shape.
