Any idea when the next report of first choice schools will be sent to the colleges?

<p>I am wondering if I select my first choice college now, when will that be made known to the college?</p>

<p>Call National Merit–they will tell you all of the dates. I think it is on a two week cycle up to May 1.</p>

<p>I called before April 1st and was also told April 12th. I don’t know why I had thought there would be a report on the 1st, but apparently not!</p>

<p>Is the next date April 30th? I know they have to have made a selection by May 1st.</p>

<p>When I called National Merit last week, I was told May 3rd was the next date that the lists would go out to colleges. I then called USC and they said it was not a big deal that they would not receive notification until May 3rd and that they would award the Presidential once they received the notification.</p>

<p>Called the National Merit Office. The service of selecting 2 schools and having the score sent to these schools has been discontinued. Students will be notified of their commended or SF status in September.</p>

<p>Called the office about the finalists. If you want to get the college sponsored national merit award, you need to have your choice made by April 30th as they will be mailed on May 1st. Next reporting date to the colleges of your first choice college is May 3rd.</p>
