<p>I've been thinking lately about starting a Computer Science team at my high school. We've got good math and science students, but not that many people try hard for CS. Though I program a decent amount myself, the only really competitive programming thing I've done are the competitions on the USACO (United States of America Computation Olympiad) web site. </p>
<p>Does anyone else out there have any experience and know any other good competitions out there (preferably stay-at-computer ones and not travel ones) that high school students can do? I'm especially interested in JAVA accepting competitions, though C++ ones are fine. </p>
<p>Any other general suggestions would be appreciated as well. Thanks a lot.</p>
