Any ideas for more schools to apply to?

I'm going to chicago over the summer, so I'll look at northwestern then.

Haven't looked at DC too much... what's the city like in comparison to Boston and NYC?

Rice: Texas worries me... but I've heard good things about the school.

And I love love love Brown... hopefully I'll get in there. I'd definitely go if the aid wasn't atrocious.

What worries you about Texas?

Sure, we've got a bunch of crazy conservatives, but that shouldn't be too much worry at a school like Rice.

I think I just want to relocate my life up North. Does Rice get National credibility?

Not as good as the Ivies, but not bad. As for DC, in my opinion its the best city to be a college student in america. Its VERY young (no one is over 30 it feels like), SO MUCH fun, intelligent, so many places to go out, so laid back yet cultural. Its awesome. I would do anything to be back there.

"I am not sure you would like BU if you like Pton, Dartmouth, Brown, and Amherst. Plus (no offense to BU) I think you can do much better."

Not really. He seems to like the environment a ton, and it is indeed a gorgeous school and area. He'd likely get at LEAST a half, if not pretty much full scholarship and into the Honors or UPP. BU is top notch education. The only thing that scares people away is the price :)

Duke, Virgina, UNC, Penn State, Miami University, Syracuse, Penn, Boston College, NYU

Currently your only reaches are: Brown, Princeton, Tufts, Duke, Amherst. With your stats, i'd add a few more to the list.
