I am entering my Junior year of High School and would like to get a jump start in the college process. It is for this reason I am asking for your help. I am looking to study either Finance or Economics.
My GPA: 101.5 and 101.9 Weighted.
Compared to my peers I hope/believe I am somewhere in the top 10 of my class which is out of about 615 students. So hopefully I am at around(10/615 or even closer to the valedictorian status). During my Freshman and Sophomore year I took all honor's level classes which hold a 5 point weight.
This Junior Year I am taking all honors, except a College Credit Math class which is weighted as an honors class, and AP Physics. I am also taking a college credit/level Italian Class.

Senior Year I will take AP Calculus(either AB or BC)
I will also take AP Chemistry Senior Year and a Syracuse College Credit Class as well, I may take 2 business college credit classes if my schedule allows. I will also be taking another college credit Italian class.

It’s hard to tell without your PSAT scores and even those don’t exactly predict your SAT. You might look early on at schools that have finance and business classes to get a sense of how important that is to you. Every school will have economics and only some have finance, marketing, accounting as courses. Boston College has undergraduate business, for example. Penn, of course. If you find that those courses are crucial for you you will have eliminated tons of schools. Try to look at a small school early on to get a sense of what size you want. Top liberal arts schools like Williams, Amherst and Middlebury have excellent economics departments and some LACs that are slightly easier to get into do have business courses (Lehigh, Lafayette and maybe Bucknell, for example).

Do you believe I would be a candidate for these schools?
I was looking into:
Villanova
SUNY Binghamton
Siena College
Virginia Tech
Fordham
Notre Dame
U Miami
Clemson
U Maryland-College Park
Boston College
Delaware

Would any of these be very large reaches for me, or do you see any that may suit me best. I will be taking my PSAT soon, and have enrolled in a great SAT training course which will begin in the upcoming months.

Thank you

CLEMSON! let me know if you have any questions!

For Clemson, what would you say should be my goal on the SAT? ACT?
How is the campus lifestyle, especially on game day?
Do I meet many of the requirements so far from what you can see?

With a decent score, these schools should be no problem.

Are they financial safeties-can your family afford them? Few meet need.

Well, I would be hoping to gain some sort of scholarship. A few are public universities so the out of state tuition is not terrible. Maybe with a little bit of money it would make it more feasible. Which would you say I would have the best chance to receive money from?

I am a New York state resident by the way.

With great scores you might be able to get some merit aid at those schools. With middling scores probably not.

what do you believe is a great score? just so i know

Scores for good chance at merit scholarships would probably be an ACT 32+ or a SAT 2120+.

How much will your parents pay each year?

probably the equivalent to a New York State school. 15 to 18 grand???

Anyone know how my chances may stand at Holy Cross, also possible money from them?

What are my chances for a school such as Holy Cross? Would I be a candidate for any scholarships?

Notre Dame you need a 1400 SAT. BC a 1350. Fordham and Villanova 1250-1300.
Holy Cross a 1300-1350.

Keep up the good work. Take the SAT at the end of this year. Repeat if you dont get what you want/need.

For scholarship money anywhere remotely prestigious you need a 1400 SAT or higher.

Your list is fine, and well balanced. Look at Richmond, Wake and UVa as well.

I would add that many of your schools are not going to give you decent merit (or any merit).

This is what I’ve found…Schools ranked above #75 often don’t give big scholarships except a limited number to those with super stats…like ACT 34+ or SAT 1520+ (M+CR)

SOME schools that are ranked below #75 will give larger scholarships for a 1400 or higher M+CR SAT or ACT 32.

There’s nothing wrong with these big merit schools, but some/many may not be normally on various students’ lists.
