I was wondering if any students who got guaranteed transfer into the ILR School for their sophomore year, who are now at Cornell, would post how they are doing and if they are glad they took the transfer option (or not), what they think of the program, and any other related experiences/opinions?

based on similar posts in the past about GTransfers…i would say the ones who are reluctant about transferring are those who attended 4 year universities and lived on campus and pretty much established themselves there.

those who commuted probably just went to class and made the grade required to transfer. and won’t mind packing up and heading to cornell.

one thing i would ask myself is if you’re sure you want to be studying labor relations. depending on what courses you’ve taken, you’ll be stuck doing labor history, labor law, labor econ, human resources, org behavior right as soon as you transfer into cornell.

while you were in your freshman year did you still have “undecided” feelings? did you enjoy taking broad liberal arts classes but weren’t sure if you wanted to do a more artsy major or a more business like major?

Thanks for answering! You bring up some great points. Anyone else have anything to add?

I know a friend who was guaranteed transfer to ILR. She was at USC for a year…dunno much besides that.
