@AnImpAffliction Don’t worry. I had a back-up plan. Hopefully, I can get an internship too to salvage my summer.

*man (misspell on my last post)

@AnImpAffliction
Be strong. The world is tough, but you will survive. -clamps hand on shoulder- Show your battle wounds and sleepless nights proudly. (On the bright side, summer shouldn’t be too far off now. Haha.)

@Hawkace, nice! I found a couple internships so hopefully I can score one of them.

@awakeningvenus, my sleepless nights are already shown by my wonderfully dark circles, hahahha. Duuude, I just need summer to come right now. I can’t do this school thing anymore. :P

@AnImpAffliction
I need summer too, bro. And it better recharge me for next year, too. (By the end of each summer, I usually feel like I can do anything. Of course, that feeling runs dry after the first quarter. Or first week to be more accurate.)

I’m right with you guys. Freshman year is EXHAUSTING. :-t

@apandia
Don’t worry, it only gets worse from there. :"(

@apandia, oh POOR FRESHMAN. IT MUST REALLY SUCK TO BE A FRESHMAN. Hahaha, just kidding. Freshman year was pretty exhausting for me too. I’m sorry, but it doesn’t get any better.

LOL I was being sarcastic, I tried to use italics but failed. Thanks anyway hahahaha.

Hahahaha.

Okay rant time:
So I’m on my school’s tennis team and I’m #5 for singles. A couple months ago, one of my teammates (who’s also Indian) and I decided to challenge our #3 doubles team. We beat them 8-2, and they threw a tantrum. We took their place as #3 doubles. Then they challenged us, but we beat them again 8-5. So we kept our spot. Today they challenged us again and we beat them 8-6. But right before the last game, one of the girls we were challenging (she’s a senior) said, “I hope you know that it sucks to be challenged like this as a senior.” and I just said, “That’s not our fault.” So we finished off the last game, and we won. The senior stormed off the courts, while her partner (a junior like me) went to our coach to report the score, and we followed her. She gave the score, and told Coach that Senior Girl had gone inside to cool down. Coach asked why, and Junior Girl said, “Because she’s a senior and she’s never been on top singles or doubles until now, and she was challenged.” And I angrily said, “That’s not our fault!” and she said, “How is that NOT your fault?” and I’m just soo mad, I could hit someone.

Don’t worry. Your coach should understand.
I feel for you; I was on varsity last year, but I dropped to #11 this year, even though I’ve beat #10 about a month before the season and have tied the #9 in the recent past.

Ahh, no offense, but you and they are overreacting. It’s easy to get carried away in such emotions, they’ll cool down soon enough. You deserved it haha, be proud, pat yourself on the back. It doesn’t matter what others think, just do your thing. If anything they should be mad, and they probably think you’re laughing your *** off right now instead of being mad at them. You earned your right to do so, be proud of yourself, and stop worrying about those butthurt players. You’re better than them. :)

Lol sorry for not replying. Thanks, @apandia.

FUN FACT: Did you know that the very first Indian arrived in the United States in the 1700s??

Just curious, how many of you guys get annoyed when someone refers to a Native American as an “Indian”? Columbus got it wrong, and a lot of people mix them up because of it. >_< When I’ve told people I’m Indian, they’ve asked, “with the dot or the feather?”

OH THAT PISSES ME OFF. SO ANNOYING. I refuse to use the term “Indians” to refer to Native Americans.

YEAH SAME HERE! Another thing that bothers is when people don’t consider Indian people to be Asian, because apparently South /Asia/ isn’t part of Asia. I’ve had a friend argue with me for like, five minutes about this, and from what basis?

Some people are silly. But oh well, ima just sit back and eat my alu parata.

@awakeningvenus Actually, I don’t consider myself Asian. I consider myself Indian. Indians are in a different class than Asians. Lol. I also like it when people say Native Indians. It reminds me the fact that Indians are the reason that America was founded. Idk. I can be so egocentric sometimes or just proud of my heritage.

If I’m talking about Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc AND brown people as a whole (so all of the inhabitants of Asia), then I use the term Asian. If I’m referring to brown people specifically, I use the terms Indian/Pakistani, etc. or I use the word “brown”. I also use the term Asian to refer to the same people that white people are referring to. But I don’t see why it’s not okay to use the term “yellow” when we can say “white”, “black”, “brown”, etc.

@Hawkace Geographically, India is in South Asia. People generally refer to an “Oriental” or East Asian classification as simply being “Asian.” Whether you consider yourself to be Asian or not, being from the subcontinent of South Asia, or rather being named under the demonym of “Indian”, coherently makes you Asian. I don’t mean to say that I go around calling myself Asian; I don’t like the nonspecificity or the general idea behind it. But at the same time, if I’m writing an application or filling in information about myself, I will be classifying myself as such.

Sorry for that. .-. Classifications can be the slightest bit annoying in my opinion.

@awakeningvenus I’m not saying that I’m not Asian, but I just consider myself as brown.

@Hawkace Haha, me too. I’m just saying that people can be classified in different ways with ethnicity, and that a lot of people don’t consider that. I’m not saying that you don’t! Sorry if it came out that way.
