Well I got a full scholarship for ASU if I apply and get admitted. I have heard nothing about the school, and was wondering if you could give me some info and your opinions if I should go there or not, or at least apply. I’ve never really considered going to this school or living in this state, but because I received this scholarship, my dad is sortof making me at least apply.
I currently live in FL and am hoping to get into UF and/or FSU
How does ASU compare to these two schools?

I’m not completely sure what I want to major in yet, but I’m thinking something in business.

ASU Business is excellent, you have full scholarship congrats, definatley apply, 50k students is a lot but FSU has a lot as well. AZ is fast growing state like Florida. its rally a toss up probably go to Florida so you stay in state… in my opinion.

That first line is a grabber … are you an athlete or scholar? Full scholarships for OOS students are hard to come by. It might genereate some more response if you elaborate.

ASU is a typical big state school. Business (where I got my BS a long time ago) and Communications are well regarded but I don’t know much about the other schools/programs. If there isn’t anything special drawing you to ASU other than a free ride, I’d think hard about staying closer to home.

That being said, I was just visiting there this past weekend and it is still a beautiful campus, has a great laid-back vibe, and Tempe retains the feel of a much smaller campus town.

You need to find a place that is a good fit for you … what you want to study, where you might live after graduation, what you want to pay, etc, etc. Do as much research as you can, and get on a plane to visit before you make a commitment.
