Any info on Brooklyn College- BFA Acting

I know it's a beautiful campus but I can't find much on their bfa.. anyone have any good info? Anyone apply? Anyone get accepted? Anyone attend? Thanks :)

Quite a lot of discussion of that here: <a href=“Brooklyn College? - Theater/Drama Majors - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/theater-drama-majors/1576327-brooklyn-college.html</a></p>

I don’t know anything about it personally, though.

My son applied and was accepted, but he decided on a different school in the end. We were very impressed with their BFA acting program, and it was one of his favorite auditions. The theatre department head was amazing, and such a warm, sincere person. It’s very competitive -they only take 12 students. It does not have the HUGE pool of applicants that many of the BFA programs do - it attracts a high number of NYC and regional students. Honestly it was heart-wrenching turning Brooklyn down. They are building a brand new theatre building that I think will be finished is 2015. And we saw a show there that we were very impressed with. The downsides were that the first year is core/academics (no acting classes until sophomore year.) And I don’t think housing is guaranteed unless you get into the honors program - we wouldve had to get him an apartment. The really great thing is the price tag. It is a tremendous value
