Does anyone have information about the college of charleston? good? bad?

and... if you were to compare cofc to Penn State University Park, which school would you choose?

We visited College of Charleston and everyone in the family (including DD) really liked it. The college prides itself on having a liberal arts approach. That was very appealing to DD. The location is terrific. The college is right in Charleston a block away from the main street shopping area. Charleston is one of the nicest cities I've ever visited. Back to the C of C...good internship potential, very very nice dorms (I believe all but the freshman woman's honors dorm are suites...and they were really quite nice), new library, newly renovated main dining facility, beautiful campus. Their info program was the BEST we attended on our 7 college tour last summer. It's a quite a bit smaller than the Penn State campus, which was a plus for DD. Cost was also very modest even for out of staters. In this household C of C would be chosen over Penn State.

thanks for the reply! Did your D find the ratio of women (65%) to men(35%) to be an issue?

Have not been there but know of three kids locally who attend and enjoy it.
