i'm really considering applying to this dorm. if i were to apply, is it true that i'd almost be guaranteed to be placed there?

what i like about it: share a bathroom with only 1 other person, i'm majoring in biology at CALS so i think i'd fit right in, i want to buy a chinchilla and bring it here as a pet, the hiking trips and stuff sound fun, big room i heard

what i don't like: it's a little far away from what i've read, but that really isn't a big deal with me. i've heard that the people are strange? is this true? what do you mean? my biggest concern is that i'm going to get a roommate that i hate. if only i knew someone else at my school who i liked that got into cornell =/

any info would be appreciated!! really!

also, anyone know if a chinchilla would be allowed here? it can stay in its cage and isn't that big. size of a rabbit

Sounds like you would fit in! Everyone I know seems to be very happy about the place, the only complaints is that its a good walk from everything. Not sure about your pet though, from what i heard, its gotta be small.

fully grown it’ll be a foot in length. herbivore. the cage would be pretty big because chinchillas like to move a lot.

but this is all speculation. i do not currently own a chinchilla or any other pet. i’m thinking that if everything is working out at cornell i’ll buy one over there =]

I’m kinda the same as you. I really want to dorm there…but I don’t know anyone who does who I’m friends with already so I’d be scared about the whole roommate thing. Everything else sounds perfect though. For now I guess I’m just going to get a single in one of the regular buildings. I can apply for the ecology house sophomore year though right?
