Any input welcome (good or bad).

Hey guys and gals,

I posted about a month and a half ago to gather some input on wether or not people thought I would get into my top-choice school Early Decision (William and Mary). I am now posting to find out my chances at the Regular Decision schools I am applying to if I don't get into William and Mary Early Decision (I find out on December 1st.)

I'll make this brief:

Virginia Resident.

Black male.

SAT: 2140 (710 Math, 740 Verbal, 690 Writing; this has gone up since my last post, which is another reason why i'm re-posting).

GPA: 3.3 unweighted, not sure weighted.

Extracurriculars: Pretty typical, nothing extraordinary. Lots of volunteerwork at my local Community Center, membership clubs, Treasurer of Model United Nations.

The List:

- As I already said, applied ED to William and Mary

Regular Decision:
- University of Virginia
- Boston College
- Georgetown (I figure why not give it a try, although I'm almost certain I won't get in).
- Virginia Tech
- George Washington University
- American University
- George Mason University

I feel as though I have a pretty good list and could see myself happy at pretty much any of the schools, although I prefer some to others. So, What are my chances?

You have a great shot at W & M early, but I think you're definitely in at GW, American, and George Mason. I would say that Virginia Tech is a match and UVA and BC are reaches. As you know, Georgetown is a big reach because of the 3.3 GPA. Good luck and I'm sure you will have great options in April.

In everywhere but Georgetown and possibly W and M (though you have an above average shot at both).

Your shooting too low (except for georgetown)

Id say excellent shot everywhere, and georgetown is a 25% chance

A Black male, SAT: 2140 (710 Math, 740 Verbal, 690 Writing) has a shot everywhere.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

Might try Holy Cross very good school -1 hour from Boston. Holy Cross offers good financial aid and some merit aid and the school is similar to Boston College.
