Any International Penn Students Gotten Financial Aid?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>Is anyone here a student at Penn who is international and asked for aid?
I heard they only give out like 50 financial aid packages a year to incoming international freshmen, but Penn has like 400 of them O_O</p>

<p>I'm kind of screwed because I'm counted as domestic as an applicant, but international in financial aid. And gahh, I'm so scared that especially with the horrible economy, they could always reject you simply if they don't have enough funds. Hopefully that won't be the case for ED, which I'm assuming is first come first served for international applicants asking for aid?</p>

<p>On another note, does anyone know if Penn is lowering their financial aid for international applicants anyway? I know they pledged to keep themselves need blind to domestic applicants, but nothing was really said about international ones.</p>

<p>I think it is a bad idea to apply ED when you need financial aid and even worse for an international student. Since ED is binding and if Adcom is doubtful you can afford to attend, they may accept another student who is will be a full pay. I wish you luck.</p>
