any international students with high sat scores?

so after reading through a bunch of threads where people wrote their scores (everyone had basically 2200+) i noticed how some of you were actually complaining for receiving ~2350 (yeah it might be frustrating) now i live in sweden and the organization thats currently helping me (educationusa) said that a pretty decent score is around 1200 and a good one 1500+ (of course this depends on where you plan to study ivies require naturally higher scores) now comparing these so called good (now shameful) scores in these threads i couldnt help but think if there are any international students who have received high scores (maybe this even common)

I’m an international student whose first language is not English, and I’d say my SAT score is pretty good.

I know it sounds kind of dispiriting, but yeah, a lot of internationals have uber competitive test scores (2300+). HOWEVER, I get the impression that US schools are used to seeing slightly lower test scores from applicants from continental Europe (in comparison to Asian students, at least). I don’t know, it’s just what I’ve observed. My school is in Europe and routinely sends students to the most selective universities in the US, and most of them have SAT scores in the 2100-2250 range (case in point: this year we had a Princeton/Stanford admit whose SAT score was slightly below 2100). In fact, I think my 2350 is the highest SAT score in the history of my school (some people have had higher M+CR composites, though), which wouldn’t be the case at a similarly competitive international school in, I don’t know, Hong Kong or India or Korea.

So maybe adcoms are used to seeing slightly lower scores from Swedes as well.

I know that 2100 is still much higher than 1500 and you’re probably shaking your head in dismay right now, but alas, a 1500 wouldn’t impress anyone coming from an international.

Edit: Um, also, this belongs in the general test preparation forum.

ok youve got a point haha ill remember that for the next time
