Any Internship Experiences at NREL?

<p>I am a soon to be sophmore mechanical engineering undergrad who is looking for internships for next year.</p>

<p>I am really interested in an internship with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, CO. A friend showed me their job postings the other week. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences working there? Anyone heard anything good/bad about the place?</p>

<p>It seems like a very nice facility, and I am really interested in renewable technologies.</p>

<p>They do seem to get a long of interesting research done. I remember reading about them designing solar cells that focused on multiple excitons per photon and absorbing energy from infrared sources(energy on a cloudy day even). Definitely think it would be a great summer opportunity.</p>
