Did anybody receive an invitation today, March 25th

Not in our house!

nope I haven't gotten anything either

nope...
still waiting.......

Nothing for me.

not here :(
resigned to the fact that I'm going to get rejected so I'll just try to transfer in sophomore year I guess

Remember that only a small group of people gets those invitations. So, until you do get a "no thank you letter", don't jump to conclusions! Will keep fingers crossed for all of you :D!

Got this as a response in an email to a student ambassador in the admissions office...

"Because of the timing of our events, it was necessary to mail
invitations to a select group of students for whom the open houses
are intended, prior to official notification. Please note that not
all admitted students are invited to these open houses."

I am guessing these "select" students are NYU's priority students, and as for GSP events, I believe those are intended to help clarify any confusion due to the controversial manner of the program.

Heard nothing as of yet....this is all really confusing! I just want a letter to get this over with!! Are the letters coming out this week? That's what the board said but there have been mixed messages the whole time =(

not all applicants are invited to the open house thing but ALL applicants receive a card that says that their official acceptance is on the way...

Before the letter I am assuming right?

ughhh those people in the admissions office are so good at twisting around everyones questions lol

Tell me about it...so vague!

Agghhhh, I really hope that the invites are only for priority students (and by this, hopefully scholarship money?).

You guys, I'm really sorry but NYU began mailing those invites quite a while ago. The deadline to reserve a spot is on the 28th. I'm afraid that if you didn't get a card by now you either didn't get accepted or got put into the GSP program.

The fat envelopes mailed out...at least one wave of them did, I received it today. There are no scholarships, though...just loans, loans and more loans. JOY :S

Well I think most GSP kids have heard by now (they were mailed out weeks ago) so those kids were probably accepted (or rejected since those letters didn't come out yet)

baobab...you mean you didn't get any scholarships? Or that there are no scholarships included in the package.

oh well I guess I didn't get in then- I thought a 4.3 and a 2200 would be enough.

my parents spoke with the head of tisch today over the phone and she said that we shouldn't make any assumptions before recieving the actual decision. She also said that not everyone recieves a card and that everyone will find out everythign by April 1. This is different from what I've heard (I heard all accepted students get cards and so on) however I doubt she would lie. I guess we just have to wait it out!
