because that is exactly what i’m going to be doing… anyone?

that is such a great question...
i wanna know too

I retook my Math IIC. That was it though.

if you and the next posters don't mind.. what were your scores/increases?
thanks for helping the future :)

My S took the writing SAT and got a 690. It turned out he had omitted a whole page of questions by mistake. He retook it and got a 780. He got admitted to Princeton, but he had a very strong application including several 800's.

My D took Chem got 630 then 670, that was Jr year. while that was a respectable increase %-wise from a student who did not take AP, just ok score I guess. Then SatIIc was good not great, so took the easier one and scored higher. I think writing SAT went from 680 t 720. Admitted to Brown, had 3 scores in low 700's. Waitlisted at Yale.

Do you mean retake after we got accepted, or just in general?

I retook my writing one. It increased from a 540 to a 750. I think that's like a 50% increase on the percentiles.

Was accepted to Brown, retook writing: 750 ---->770
The reason I retook was b/c of the essay section, I scored only an 8 on the first one and felt it wasn't a good reflection of my writing abilities at all, the second test I got a 10 or 11, dont remember the exact number.

accepted to penn and mit, retook:

mathIIC: 660 to 770
writing: 690 to 770

thanks guys.. keep posting

nice improvements

Eighteenforluck -- What did you do to improve so much? That's impressive.

My D re-took no SAT II's. Her scores varied between 680 on the low end & I think 790 on the high. She got accepted to all her Ivies.
