Are there any precollege summer programs that a rising junior can apply to for next summer? I'm interested in healthcare, medicine, sciences, writing, English, journalism... and Harvard (I LOVE HARVARD), but it seems too long. I want to get an internship, and it takes up The end of June to the beginning of august... are there any 6 week programs that are similar? Like maybe at Brown or Penn or any other top schools?

Check the University of Chicago.

Too far away.

I would fully recommend Harvard SSP as it was an amazing experience. The only other ones I applied to were Stanford and Yale, but Harvard replied to me first so I canceled the other ones.

I would say apply to a few of the Ivy league Summer programs, where you think you would want to attend college. If you are close visit the campuses and decide which university you think you would like best, do the summer program there (afterwards you will definitely know if it is right for you.).

I agree…Harvard SSP was an amazing experience.

How much is it to take the courses?

Cornell offers a summer college program for high school students. I’m thinking about attending this coming summer, and it looks to be fairly rigorous. I would suggest you look at that, as well.

Anyone been to Columbia University for their summer programs?

Oh, and how was Harvard SSP?
Will it be too intimidating? I see that they count credits…
Can you tell me what’s it like for the lessons? (:
Would love to go there.
