any med schools out there with a reasonably high acceptance rate?

every school i saw has an acceptance rate under 10%. i'd like to see a single school with any kind of acceptance rate higher than this, unless this is the average for all schools :(

Oh please. What is your home state?

new jersey, why?

UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School 29.4% In State Acceptance

On an unrelated note:
Why would 2712 OOS students apply to UMDNJ-NJMS when they don't admit OOS students? Predictably, not a single interview was granted. Kids need to do their research.

Poor research skills?

**The Selection Process

The academic profile for the entering class of entering class of 2006 a mean total MCAT score of 30.6, verbal reasoning 9.7, physical sciences 10.4, biological sciences 10.6. The mean total grade point average is 3.64 with a science gpa 3.59.

Preference for admission is given to residents of the State of New Jersey. However, the importance of geographic diversity is recognized and out of state applicants with outstanding credentials are encouraged to apply.
Students must be US citizens or permanent residents at the time the application is filed.

Admission is determined on the basis of academic achievement in a balanced undergraduate education, results of the MCAT, pre-professional committee evaluations, other recommendations, extracurricular involvement, motivation, character, and the personal interview. Applications from members of groups under-represented in medicine are encouraged. Interviews are arranged by invitation.

RWJ is pretty good about interviewing OOS kids, but NJMS has 2700 OOS applicants and granted zero interviews to them. Seriously, kids need to pay attention.

EDIT: Wanted to clarify that post #5 has not been edited.

Yeah like what medical schools are in their state and give preference to home boys/girls.
