any merit scholarships?

<p>My name is Keshav.
I live in New Orleans.
My mom is a pharmacist and my dad is a college professor.
I'm not quite sure that I will receive any need-based financial help.
Are there any alternative sources of aid, besides loans? I want to eventually become a doctor, and med school is very expensive as well so my parents would rather save up and pay for that.</p>

<p>If Vassar does not offer merit aid, are there any good schools that would offer merit aid? I'm looking to be in the Northeast region. My SAT's are 1490/2230. Thanks for any advice you may have.</p>

<p>Vassar does not offer merit aid. You need either loans or outside scholarships.</p>

<p>Before anyone can offer suggestions for colleges you need to narrow your question. Are you looking only for LACs? Urban, rural, suburban? What field of study?</p>
