The portal has been down for me all morning 
Just got home and got a letter from UD saying due to high volume they needed my mid year grades etc etc. The thing is the letter was dated February 26th, and I was told when I called last week that my mid year grades were received on February 11th. So they already have my mid year grades and since I am just receiving this letter on March 10th, itās too late for me to take another SAT or an ACT. Plus I already did the supplements on common app so I really have nothing left to send them. I guess I am just not as strong of an applicant as the others this year, but Iām starting to get very upset. I wish they would just tell me I didnāt get in instead of stringing me along like this. I was told when I called that Iād definitely know by March 1st. Never happened. I called again and they said Iād know by mid March. Now the letter I got today says Iāll know more info in the beginning of April. Extremely frustrating. I applied in November! Anyone else in the same boat as I am?
Update- just called and I was told that they never got my mid year grades, even though the lady I spoke to last time I called said they got my grades Feb. 11??? By far the most unorganized admissions department Iāve ever dealt with!
Exactly word for word except common app says mid year grades were downloaded and ud confirmed they received the 2/10 but everything else is the same. You are not aloneā¦have heard from every other college except syracuse which we know was mid to late march. Sorry for whatās going on, itās tough on the kids especially when they see some receive easy decisions in as little as six weeks.good luck to you
Same boat - wish they would just send a denial rather than stringing along - as of now I put a deposit at JMU which has a better business program, but it would be nice to have a feeling of finality. The disorganization of the admissions process gives rise to question how disorganized the next 4 years would be at UDelā¦

Older brother is a sophomore at JMU and LOVES it !!! Fantastic professors, everyone is friendly, great food, and the school is on Princeton Reviewās āruns like butterā list (unlike what weāve experience with UDel admissions). Good Luck!!
I received an email today inviting me to an accepted students event so I guess that means Iāve been accepted. Portal hasnāt updated but Iāll weigh my options once I see the merit award (if any).
Been reading a while thought id share. From Long Island ny and literally know a lot of ny kids who applied. Only acceptances received to date or letters mentioned above. Me , welp 18 weeks and counting where several friends heard mid February and applied close to deadlineā¦not kidding. Stats either Same or quite less then me. Major some same. Reasons ā¦no idea but been told this letter is like a wait list or denial but that is words from kids and we know how that is.i just hope a school would not hold denials until the end and mass mail, thatās just wrongā¦ Good luck to all and ik the feeling but making plans to move on to second choice or even third ā¦take care JP
@johnpit96ā I would really worry if I was you. I applied a week or so before the deadline but forgot to add it to my Naviance (applying was an afterthought). My transcripts and letters of rec werenāt sent until a month ago and I was āacceptedā last night.

@Assume congrats to you and good luck and thanks for the thoughts. Iām not worried after 18 weeks of nothing then a letter received 15 days after dated telling me to wait till April, I just put it all behind me and moved on . Again congrats on your acceptance and good luck !

I applied december 1st and its been almost a 13 week wait still. I also just recieved the ādue to the high volume of applicantsā¦ā Letter. Wish they would just tell us already the wait sucks!!!
I was just wondering if anyone could clarify for me. I applied with my first choice being Accounting and second choice Statistics, which are different schools within UD. On my acceptance letter it says I was accepted as a Statistics major into the College of Agriculture and Human Resources. I am OOS and was almost certain I would be accepted into the business school. Does this mean that I was not accepted into the school of business? Iām guessing yes

Things seem to be more bizarre this year than even last year (and they were bad enough last year with the ānewā admission procedure just starting). I have never seen such a letter being sent to applicants at this late stage of the admissionās application process at UD. Unfortunately we donāt know what has been going on in the Admissionās office with the Director of Admissions planning on leaving UD (who made this decision is unclear but with the turmoil last year and this year one might surmise that UD was not overly happy with his performance). Perhaps this has something to do with what has been going on most recently with the delay in announcing admission decisions-just my thought. As a result of these things I would hesitate to even venture a guess as to what the letter means. Perhaps it is just what it said it is-delays due to high volume complicated by some degree of turmoil in the Admissions office. For what it may be worth I would like to say that the turmoil in the admissions department is not typical at all as to how things are managed at UD in both the other administrative as well as the academic areas. As a result of this it does upset me as it tends to give applicants the impression that similar problems are characteristic at UD in other areas, which is not true. I wish I could give you a more definitive answer but this is the best I can do. Good luck. I personally feel many, many other acceptances are yet to come.
