I was accepted into the UD honors program today. I’m out of state and sent my app in early November.
SAT-2120
UWGPA- 3.98
WGPA-4.47
Will finish high school with 11 ap classes and am ranked in the top ten of my class (I go to a large public school). I do cheerleading in both the fall and winter season, am in NHS and go to a leadership training program during the summer. I applied as a psych major. Good luck everyone.

I go to a school in Delaware that sends a ton of students to UD each year, and today on the announcements maybe six students were mentioned for getting into UD.

Bumping back up to the top. Hopefully we will be hearing a lot more about acceptances between now and the New Year, especially for OOS applicants.

forgot to mention on my post that I did receive 9,000 dollars a year. I have not received this information in the mail it was on my portal. They only took 4 weeks to get me a decision, much faster than I expected. Don’t know if that has anything to do with the honors program.

how much longer does it take after it says your application is under review?

Hi all! I’m an in-state student so I don’t know how helpful this will be but I applied in late October and heard back in late November. I recieved scholarship info in the mail about two weeks later. My scholarship was $7k per year but it’s in state tuition so I’m thrilled. Hope my timeline helped somewhat! Oh and I’m UDHonors too.

MY D was accepted into Nursing ( DE Resident In-State) applied Late October and found out yesterday. 3.7 UE/4.55W 29 ACT Alumni Parent …not surprised at all and no merit, Most likley she will pass on the acceptance due to the fact we are in-state… and wants to really do an entry level PA program and we have now many to chose from but boy would U Of D be the bargain of the bunch…

Hi UDNursegirl, my D applied Nov 1st, found out on the portal Dec 17th, big yellow letter came today in the mail. 9000/yr merit scholarship. Her GPA was 3.4 UW, 4.0W. She had an illness as a sophomore that pulled her GPA down, its higher if they considered that. SAT 1760, not great , but ACT 28-better. She attends a rigorous HS and has a tough course load. Also has hospital volunteer experience and is currently in the hospital 4 days out of the week shadowing with the Healthcare Research Academy program at her HS. Travel volleyball player and working part time. Just sharing what she had to offer for admission. GOOD LUCK to you!!! Hopefully if not already you will hear soon.

I applied on October 13th and heard back on the portal on December 12th, while I just received my letter yesterday. I was admitted as a Psychology major and additionally admitted into the Honors Program. I live in Maryland (OOS), have a 3.85 unweighted/4.49 weighted GPA, 31 ACT, several strong extracurriculars, and completed a service program out of my area over the summer. Hope this helps anyone!

@beaner89 Thanks for posting the info, that was very helpful. Did your daughter apply to the Honors College, and if so, did she get an Honors decision included with her admissions acceptance letter?
