Any more Summer Opportunities left?? please read..

Hi, i'm currently a junior and will be moving this summer to Florida. I live in Germany because my dad is in the military so we do not get much notice about summer programs in the states. I get straight A's, but am not taking too many hard courses (just ap chem and ap language arts). I'm not fantastic in any subject... so what kind of summer programs are available in the states that are still accepting applications? I just need something that looks "good" on the application.

I'm applying to Bryn Mawr, Wellesley, Smith, and some other colleges.

Thanks!

Volunteering in an area that interests you looks good on an application.

Can someone answer his question? I am pretty curious too, as I want to attend a couple more summer programs myself.

Selective summer programs are impressive but I don't know of any selective programs that are still accepting applications for this summer.

If you know you are applying as, say, an environmental studies major, a summer program in an environmental area would be good; a summer program that matches the major you are applying to shows your enthusiasm for that major.

Some of the math programs may accept applications this late, but I'm less sure about programs in other subjects. Some of the precollege programs on college campuses (which, agreeing with the quoted text, are arguably not "selective") are surely still taking applications.

Boston University High School Summer Programs

the hs honors program where you can get some credit sounds pretty good...

Alfred University : Summer Programs : High School Programs

the atronomy, business leadership, and women's leadership programs are still open

High School Ocean Science Sailing Programs — Marine, Environmental, Ecology & Nautical Studies — SEA

these are expensive but sound really fun if you are interested in oceanography, ecology, etc, but you have to call b/c there is limited space

Summer Intensive Study at Beloit - Apply

language studies at beloit college

Apply : Program status : Cornell Summer College

lots of different classes still left at Cornell!!

that's all i can find for now...what are your specific interests?? it seems like cornell has something for every interest, but I can probably find more if you give me a specific interest...

Thanks for this thread, by d's summer is up in the air and I'm scouting
around to find her something

i was accepted to that alfred bussiness leadership thing but does anyone know if it will look good on apps.?
