anyone going to smu c/o 2009? i feel bad turning them down, lol, they were the only school i applied to that offered me some scholarship money. and it's in such a good location and a pretty campus with nice dorms...but its too close to home. i need to venture away from the parents and try life in a city/state for myself. and it costs almost the same as an ivy for...not an ivy education. lol. but i still feel kinda bad turning them down!! anyone else deciding to go/turn them down?

Nita, I totally understand how you feel about turning down SMU. It was not an easy thing to do at all. They offered me the President's Scholarship (full tuition), and everyone there was SO incredibly hospitable. Ultimately, though, I decided that I wouldn't fit in with the majority of the Greek-oriented student body there and that I really want to live in NYC, so I chose Fordham (who is also giving me a full tuition scholarship). My eyes seriously started welling up with tears when I had to drop the bomb on SMU. That didn't happen with any other colleges I rejected.
