Any ND hopefuls biting their nails off?

so basically just wondering if anybody else is frustrated waiting until june to find out from ND....i'm basically going crazy. oh yea and i won't be able to know until after june 13th because that is probably the earliest that i can send in my final grades.

nobody....really?

I am hopeful, and I am also biting my nails off.

I'm worried because my freshman course load did not coincide with the First Year of Studies Program. I am missing both science classes.

yea i followed that course load list, but because i'm not a math/science wizz it messed up my gpa and made it a lot less impressive...when are you going to be sending in your final grades?

I think that my transcript was already sent and it should be arriving at ND anytime soon. (I have all my grades back)

I just hope they don't punish me too badly for not following their FYS program.

you will have to post immediately once you get a decision :) it will more than likely be before i even send out grades.

What kind of pre-reqs does ND have?

What if you go to a college where there are different pre-reqs... ND can't expect you to take ALL their classes, can they?

it's not taking specific classes...basically they are looking for you to have two math classes, two science classes, english, etc. ....i think most colleges ask for that, maybe just ND puts a big emphasis on that so that their transfers don't have to play catch up....

ND essentially tries to enforce a liberal arts education:
2 math, 2 science, 2 philo, 2 theo, 1 literature/art, 1 history, 2 seminars, language requirements, + any other specific program reqs (ie: social sciences for arts & letters)

They are rather transfer friendly though. They tend to take a pretty large amount of transfer and really make a point to make you part of the "family."
(ps. I know because I go there! Good luck.)

I just got in today!

ckmets13,

first, congratulations

if you don't mind me asking, did you receive it via snail mail? had you already sent in second semester grades?

to add to run's questions...what were your stats again? (if you dont mind) :)

oh and did the letter say anything about how many students they plan on admitting versus how many applied?

I got it via mail, there were no stats in the letter about acceptance rate or anything like that. I had sent in an unofficial copy of my second semester grades, the official one had not reached ND yet.

My college GPA (from BC Honors Program) was a 3.606 overall (3.684 first semester with 18 credits and 3.539 second semester with 21 credits)

SAT was 1500 M+CR,
HS class rank was 30/445
I had good ECs in high school and the summer before college but not much in college (empire state games gold medalist, 3rd in the state high school bowling tournament, etc...)

to bad there isn't a way to find out how many people are being accepted and all that jazz

anybody else hear back from ND yet?

bump....................

im also waiting to hear back .. where did you all go to school previously?

i go to the university of washington right now, you?

cmu -- are you a freshman?
