Any NE Colleges Still Accepting Apps??

My friend just got rejected at his only two schools he applied to and I was wondering if there were any schools in the Northeast that were still taking apps...

post this over on the Parents board. You will get an informed answer directing you to individual schools and a listing of schools that will have openings announced after May.

In mid-May, www.nacacnet.org will post a list of colleges with openings. These will be listed by state, and there are usually several good colleges listed.

Does anyone have the same list from last year, just to gauge the quality of available schools?

Curry College in Milton, MA is still accepting applications; just south of Boston. Their Honors program rivals the offerings of more selective schools and they give merit $ as well. Especially good programs in Communications, Education, Management, Nursing and Criminal Justice, plus many of the usual Liberal arts majors; Psychology and Politics and History etc..

Thanks, I will definitely refer him to that site.

To anyone else that was wondering about colleges still accepting apps now, I did some more research and came up with these schools:

Wilkes University in PA
Canisius College in Buffalo, NY
Champlain College in Burlington, VT
Mercyhurst College in PA
Afred University in NY
Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland
Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT
Salisbury University in Maryland
Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI
St. Bonaventure University in NY
St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA
UMass - Dartmouth
Widener University in PA

Wow thanks a lot! Last year there were some really good options.

I know Iowa State University is still taking applications, because they've been sending me emails saying it's not too late to apply.

Iowa isn't in the NE :) But check out some of the other state schools- even those whose priority/final deadlines have passed- often they will still accept a qualified applicant who demonstrates interest in the school.

Hah, I thought "any" was what was meant by NE. Opps.
