Would an Ivy award any financial aid to a household that makes 170,000 a year? (my brother just finish med school, which FAFSA does not take into account btu we are still trying to help pay off his loans)
Try the net price calculator. It is possible at HYP, less so at the others.
You might get a little nee based aid at Harvard, Yale or Prnceton…but first you have to be in the 8-9% of applicants who are accepted.
How much aid do you need?
ETA…other threads indicate you applied ED to Dartmouth. You should have completed a Profile for them…and if you got accepted, you will receive an estimated financial aid package.
If financial aid is a concern, why did you apply ED?
Maybe some aid at HYPS, but not the others.
edit…Dartmouth. Doesn’t give the extra generous aid that HYPS does. Did you run the NPC on D’s website? Did you indicate one in college (you) and one less household member?
what was the result.

That’s very nice, but schools will think your family needs to pay for your undergrad.
The system is set up that parents are supposed to support the costs for undergrad. Costs for grad/law/med school are typically the burden of that student.
If your school were to give your family money so that your family can use their own funds to pay off your brother’s med school loans, then your school would essentially be paying off your brother’s med school loans. And, schools aren’t willing to do that, understandably.
You need to ask your parents how much they’ll spend each year on YOUR education. Did your parents help pay for your brother’s undergrad education?
