previously I thought HYP plus some other very few top college have need-blind policy for international students; recently I heard that actually there is no need-blind for international pool. I am wondering if this is true, please help, tks

For the last cycle, there were six need-blind colleges in the US for internationals :
Amherst College
Dartmouth
Harvard
MIT
Princeton
Yale

You should check on the Internet though because that might change.

Look also into smaller schools, in the South especially, that have very good merit money.

Thank you for the information. I asked the question because I am reading a book from an ex AO from Dartmouth, who says that there is no such story as need blind for international students in every Ivy colleges. So confused. At least the above mentioned schools have a move open policy for the issue. tks again

You could google those schools to see it is true or not. See [Ivy League Schools - College Admissions Information](Ivy League Schools: Acceptance Rates, Location & More)

Some top LAC’s that explicitly say they are not need blind actually give pretty good financial aid. Ex: Grinnell, Oberlin and Carleton(sp?) college.

thks a lot
