Any New Acceptances - RD?

haha, well, i'm not expecting anything yet--i applied for a theatre major and i doubt they've started to make decisions.

but i figured if any went up before i went to bed i'd check anyway :)

So I gather no one heard last night? Maybe the release will be this evening instead.

yeah lady friend didn't get an answer either. Good luck to you guys tonight. And yes 12 PM Eastern Standard Time.

and Hollylove you are too damn funny hahahaha of course U of M time hahaha

hockey31, ladyfriend? that seems like such an old fashioned expression for someone college age... strikes me as very cute.

hahah i like to use it cause she's not my girlfriend but a good friend that's a girl. But i totally would hook up with her if i was single.

And nope my "ladyfriend" didn't get a decision tonight.

Anyone get anything?

S just checked. Nada.

**** night

haven't heard anything...maybe tonight? ahhhh

Does calling them even makes a difference? I just want to make sure they didn't throw away my files or anything

yea.... still didn't get my decision yet...

when r they gonna release the results?!....I'm seriously sick of waiting,,,,

should i have heard?

so no one heard this week?

nope. Still waiting!

does the whole "a decision will arrive in the mail" thing on wolverine access always mean a rejection? i'm a freshman at college trying to transfer to umich for the fall. my app has only been in there (since grades came out early january) for three weeks tops...i'm surprised they made my decision so quickly. I had a 3.8 gpa this semester at nyu and my high school gpa was a 3.6-3.7 unweighted...1340/2110 SATs.
how could they reject me so fast?

ah transferring from NYU.. what's ur intended major? "A decision will arrive in the mail" doesn't necessarily mean a rejection. Your test scores seem fine, and a 3.8 GPA from a top university like NYU will certainly boost your chances of being admitted.

its 3.75-3.8 it's in between (I prefer to round up haha). Intending on majoring in journalism, but still undecided. I'm only a freshman (so this gpa is for first semester)- i'm trying to transfer for michigan in the fall of 09. Now, with the "a decision will arrive in the mail" on my WA, im getting nervous I was rejected....but that would be a pretty fast rejection (took them only a couple weeks to decide)

Well you are a transfer and everyone else that I was talking about who got wait-listed by mail is applying as a freshman. So maybe they just notify transfers through the mail regardless? Because it does seem unlikely they'd reject that quick from NYU and a solid GPA. But I have a friend who got accepted in 2 weeks so they can make quick decisions and she wasn't THAT spectacular (29 ACT & 4.0 UW GPA).

Keep us posted.

I think the time frame is pretty arbitrary. I applied on November 21 and heard back December 11... And a friend of mine applied early December and still hasn't heard back...
