It would appear from reading last year’s thread that students were sent a letter within a week or so after their audition letting them know whether they were still in the pool or if they were being released from consideration, then the final decisions were made sometime mid-March.

Has anyone received a letter like that yet this year? Or perhaps they’re using a different system this time around?

The videos we asked everyone to submit this year served the purpose of releasing applicants that we believed would not be in the running at the end of the process. We did release applicants who actually auditioned for us in early December, so that they could move ahead. But we have not released anyone since then. If you auditioned for us on campus in late January, or at one of the unified sites, you are officially still in the pool being considered for admission.

Our last audition is this Saturday, and we will begin choosing the class soon. While I cannot promise final letters by mid-March, that is still our goal.

Wow - and there was another post that another daughter was accepted today! Given that they only accept about 4 girls and usually two of them are mt/dance - I’m going to guess that a rejection letter is in the mail!

Big big congrats to those who got into otterbein - I thInk it’s a fabulous program!

You can make that 3 girls! My daughter was accepted as a BFA MT yesterday. Unless things have changed, Otterbein accepts 2 girls in MT and 2 in MT/Dance. (They accept a total of 8 girls–4 in MT or MT/Dance and 4 in Acting.)

@ nickpMT My daughter auditioned for the MT concentration in dance and has not heard back yet either. Did you audition for MT concentration in dance or MT? Did any one else hear back who auditioned for MT concentration in dance?
