Any news?

And still have the “Mid-Year Grades Report” box on USConnect :(

I think everyone has the mid-term grades option?

There’s still hope! Everyone that was considered for trustee/presidential (who is now admitted) I would think should receive at least a smaller scholarship.

^I didn’t have it before, then just got it today. I also don’t have the “Explore USC” box. Doubt I’m getting any trustee/presidential scholarship.

Is it true that some acceptances are starting to come out now, even for people that aren’t being considered for scholarships?

Anyone from east coast receive their acceptance, or have their USConnect change?

Yes in NJ received today

S was admitted with presidential scholar candidate. I doubt if he’d need it if he’s a NMF anyway. Mail just delivered in AZ. Yay!

^he could be bumped to trustee after interview!

^Really? That would be great if he was bumped up, but if he isn’t would he still get the 1/2 tuition NMF scholarship?

Anyone from Texas? Kokoro?

pebbles, 1/2 tuition NMF is only if he lists usc as first choice – makes sure he does that. so yes, he is guaranteed at least 1/2 tuition.

mind you, USC is still expensive after 1/2 tuition!

pebbles, if your S is NMF (and lists USC as his first choice–he has until May to do this) he automatically will receive half-tuition Presidential plus $1K/year. Often these students receive additional merit awards as well. OTOH, if magic happens on his Explore visit, he might find himself bumped up to Trustee (full-tuition).

S already listed USC as his first choice school with NM. He absolutely LOVES USC, but he did apply to several Ivy’s. He’s on cloud 9!

pebbles, my son was in the same position as your’s last year. We hoped for the bump, but didn’t get it. He did get an additional $2500 a year though. He is a happy Trojan now!

So, when does the next round of mailings begin?

The Explore USC is under Admissions - RSVP for Admitted Students. Once you click on the RSVP for Admitted Students it lists several events. Explore USC was at the top of our list (not sure it would be on students who are not finalists for the Trustee/Presidential scholarships). At some point after clicking on the RSVP button a pop-up congratulating my son for being a Trustee Scholarship finalist came up. So for those of you who have been accepted, check the Admissions/RSVP for Admitted Students tab. You can register for local alumni chapter events, the Admit Student day in April and some other events as well as Explore USC for those invited.

^Have all admitted students gotten that yet?

Sigh… no box. I’m trying not to let it get to me, but I thought I was a shoo-in for a scholarship. Discouraging, to say the least.

^i agree :(. This is kinda depressing… Congrats to all of those that were selected!!!

I got my mail package today and so have a few of my friends here in Texas. Sorry I couldn’t update sooner. I was tutoring kids.
