I'm at the end of my sophomore year, and I find myself staying up later and later. How late do you guys stay up to do homework and study?

There's several seniros at our school who ahev some pretty strange sleeping habits due to extreme course loads (and our school is competitive...GPA=life for many). I know one guy who sleeps in 30-minute intervals throughout the night and another guy who sleeps from 8PM-midnight (4 hrs!!) and then works up until it's time for school!

2-3am, sometimes I take naps so I start my homework later, so even if I don't have a lot of homework, if I'm tired from the night before I'll still be up late.

When the time hits ten, I stop working altogether.
Then I go to bed, providing it is a school night. I sometimes read from 10-11, though. It helps put me to sleep. I will stay out sometimes till 2 or 3 AM on Saturday or Friday night though.

I usually go to sleep between 1-2 AM and wake up at 6AM (4-5 hours per night). I require massive amounts of coffee and dew to function properly though.

11 pm - 8 am for me, usually. Heh. I get really haphazard sleep cause my legs kick around so much, and it sometimes takes me hours to fall asleep (even when I'm tired) because I can't stop thinking. If I don't get 8 or 9 hours of sleep, though, I feel exhausted the next day.

lol i can wake up at 8 AM (thank god for senior year) and get to school on time--the late bell for my school is 8:30 AM (school ends at 3 PM). It's not bad. I remember though that there's someone on this site who mentioned in a post that he starts school at like 10 AM. Lucky...

I usually sleep from 1am - 6:30am. Most of my homework gets done between 9pm - 12pm though. My mind is so much more focused, and I usually take a nap when I get home so I can relax my mind before I do my homework.

Yeah this year for me I've stayed up past 3am more times than I have in the rest of my life combined. The last month or so my usual sleep pattern has been about 2-7am.

For me my body can handle it, aside from the weakened immune system. I can go on 3 hours of sleep repeatedly because my adrenaline will kick in and last through the next school day. Plus this week I've been fine getting 5-6 hours a night. During CMU Pre-College I spent six weeks at 4-7 per night.

diginetgod, are you sure you're not an undead hellfiend desperately seeking acceptance from a human society? cuz i got a loaded shotgun waitin if you say the right answer...
