Any of you MIDWEST people get stuff from princeton today?

hahahah oh gracey, im holding out for you and kebree....

im very torn apart - i think maybe i, too, need an RL binge.

I got my stuff on Friday. For the first time in my life, I've appreciated the fact that I live in NJ. I used to live in the midwest (Indiana). Go Hoosiers.

So qtip, you saying a Cali girl shouldn't get her hopes up until she opens her mailbox?

where do you go on the usps site to send an imaginary package?

RL binges are the best way to make yourself feel better about things. Who cares if your credit card gets torn up as long as you have a gorgeous new cashmere sweater?

Ah, Ilcapo, I should have been better about staying in touch. You're definitely one of my favorite Princeton ED-ers because you're AMAZING (no specific reason necessary).

And congratulations, Qtip!!!! :D

I know, what the hell gracey - you hid your little comment about being in florida in some random thread that I somehow came across. I just assumed that you had been rejected and exiled to Detroit or something.

or qtip, lemme rephrase: there's still a fair chance for west-coasters to possibly get acceptances?

Exiled to Detroit... That's mean (although the rejected part is likely). Detroit is a wasteland - we call it the Sick Man of Michigan, because it's rotting away like the Ottoman Empire did. Of course, I'm forbidden to drive through it, so I don't know that much about it... lol. Got to love my parents.

Yeah, March was pretty crazy for me! I was in NYC, then home for like three days, then off to Florida for Spring Break! So I haven't really been around that much. How did March go for you?

Say what, seethelight? I'm not sure what I hinted at to have you come to such a conclusion...all I'm saying is that I appreciate the one day instant mail treatment that I get in NJ (seeing that Princeton is 1.5 hours away from me)...

Oh, of course there's a fair chance for the people on the other side of the country to get acceptances!

The state with the most number of acceptances to Pton was Cali this year. http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S11/23/04G18/index.xml?section=topstories

Gracey, go on aim you egg.

That's the first time I've ever been called an "egg," lol. But sure, I'll head over.

athlon...i tried to find where on the usps site as well...couldn't figure it out :(

here: http://postcalc.usps.gov/

very simple

Princeton's zip is 08544

Yes, but if you read the article I posted, you will see that this is not always the case. (the 2 day thing)

oh i see...still, i am encouraged by ilcapo's post that linked to the misleading advertising of the usps. or at least not utterly despondent. :)

thanks lordofthesocks...

Ah, I was so excited for a minute - I got notification that I won a National Merit Scholarship today, and it said "For use at PRINCETON UNIVERSITY" in big, bold text. Needless to say, I thought they knew something I didn't... until I noticed the line that said (paraphrased), "You are responsible for getting into the school of your choice. Notify us if you plan on attending another school."

Ahh, U.S. Post, take me out of my agony, please!

I really hate the usps right now...HATE HATE HATE them. This is the first time I've ever had to wait for the mail and I must say it sucks.

haha... it is a very bad day when you get notified that you won a national merit scholarship and are disappointed b/c it didn't have new news on you admission status...

but i know what you mean. would have had the same reaction at this point.

Just got a waitlist letter in Nebraska.
