Just wondering, how easy is it to transition from downstream production/manufacturing to upstream production after 5 years of experience? I've heard from some people that it is easy because downstream is technically/hands-on focused and works well in upstream.

Downstream and upstream are very unrelated. Typically, that transition would be pretty difficult. I’m sure it all depends on the types of jobs you are looking at. Maybe elaborate more?

Well, I’m talking about specifically going from process engineering downstream to facility engineering upstream or process engineering upstream (LNG exports,etc.). Both of these upstream fields involve the same concept of designing and running processes, but in an upstream fashion.
