any one get in?

lil_killer129 -

I don't remember exactly how much ice cream costs at the Creamery. However, you can get all you want as part of your meal plan at the residential dining halls

I even buy toilet paper with my points, eheheh. Have never been at the creamery, though--too long of a walk.

I do drink their bottled chocolate milk often and get diarhea everytime, which goes hand in hand with the toilet paper-buying using my points. I make joke.

Still no response. Sent in my app around the end of november.

they made a decision on me. i hope i dont have to wait a million years again

When did you send in your app?

I have one friend who applied mid-late December and just got her letter of acceptance. My grades are better than this person's, but she's black.Another friend applied early December, and the site says they've made a decision on him. My grades are better than his too...I'm assuming him being Jewish shouldn't play too much of a role. Me - I applied late November, and I'm still impatiently waiting for my status to change...

I sent my app in right at the new year and my status changed on Friday. And now I wait for a letter.

around november 28th

i haven't gotten a letter yet but today i got an email saying "congrats on my offer of admission to penn state" and then some info about visiting campus. i guess they thought i would've gotten my letter by now?

I got a similar email, jubilee. It congratulated me on my "offer of admission." What exactly does it mean? Am I in? Or is just a 'we got all your stuff' kind of thing?

I think it means we're in! I just got my acceptance package in the mail today.

shortnproud: this is just insanity. You should be in and be in at Schreyers. I just don't get it.

He probably applied late, that is the only explanation.
Anyways, I hope that smiley stands for an indifferent chuckle.

shortnproud - we know some students who applied late with a similar profile last year and were deferred to a satellite. It REALLY pays to apply early. Close to Nov 30 just doesn't cut it. On the positive side, your strong record gives you a shot at making it off the wait list (not an option for those who applied late last year). In any case, you should get into some other good (and better) schools with that record.

Thanks for the support/advice. I'm already in UMaryland and UConn's honors program, and waiting on decisions from UMich, Notre Dame, and a few others. I'd love to have the option to attend Penn State, especially because I have yet to visit and I've heard nothing but great things, but life goes on I guess...

shortnproud...dont sweat PSU u have great options in maryland and uconn and if u get into umich or notre dame ur in even better shape! sure PSU has great opportunities cuz of alumni networking but so does notre dame and umich and maryland is a fine school as well!
