<p>I believe all the admits now are for the general programs and not the honors, which has a totally separate process. Only the top kids at my daughter's school are getting in. The rest that applied are still pending.</p>

<p>My D received her acceptance to Penn State-University Park a few days ago. Her timeframe was: App. submitted around 11/1, transcripts received around 11/13, status changed from "evaluation" to "...a decision has been made..." 11/20. Decision received, 11/27.</p>

<p>Needless to say, we're very happy for her, and it's a huge weight off of her shoulders to get this first acceptance.:-)</p>

<p>yeah sure plaid...even though i'm against posting stats like a lotta peopel on here i cannnn tell you i have about a 3.8 GPA with 7 APs and all honors classes, 2000 on the SATs, pretty good ec's (went to governors school for spanish)...im from a pretty well respected high school in northern virginia also so maybe that helps..</p>

<p>i hate this, i sent my app in oct 4 and then sent my transcript and they got my sats nov 8 so that means my app was full on the 8 and all tehse people sending in after me are getting letters before me</p>
<p>They do the easy ones first. No one said it was a first-come, first-serve basis.</p>
<p>I sent my app in the beginning of september...so it took them almost 2 months to make a decision.</p>
