<p>You definitely do not wish you were, starbucks a a horrible huge corporation that tries to shove all this happy bs down your throat. Managers are the puppets of the distrct managers and the cmpany as a whole just sucks the life out of you</p>
<p>Other than that I love the people that I work with enough to make work six hours of hanging out while makng coffee. Sweet discount, free whole bean and free whatever when I go in though. I don't know if the positives outweigh the negatives yet after five months</p>

<p>Well, I don't drink coffee, so I don't even know why I would. Too bitter for me.</p>
<p>I used to go there a ton and do hw with friends, I dont even want to know how much $ I blew. I can't imagine ever paying 4 bucks for a drink now, and just feel bad when I'm at register and someone comes in and drops 7-8 dollars on two drinks. Tea and straight coffee for me now!</p>

<p>I think I love it to, but that's only ok weekdays and close with a ss not asm or sm. I enjoy going to work when I can be genuine with people, not attack them at the door HI WELCOME TO STARBUCKS, if I were a customer that's just weird, but just annoyng if your there for an extended period of time. Or the "try a pound of Christmas blend it makes an excellent stocking stuffer." I dunno I guess I have fun, just glad I'm not at a busy mall or dt store.</p>

Most managers don't really LIKE to hire minors (I was not when hired though, I'm an old senior)
but my new one did because he doesn't know anything and thought they could close (requiring to stay til 1130-12)
But... where I live you get 10 cents above minimum (8.10 in CA now)
Which, I don't know its not the best
but if you work 20 hours you get free health care</p>
<p>and everyone gets a free pound of coffee a week, a 30 percent discount, and if your coworkers like you free anytihng whenever you just stop by (not a technical legal thing)
and unlimited while you work</p>
<p>^That is a sweet deal! My Starbucks hires at 18 (!!!) & prefers you to be in college. I might get a job at Peet's though, they hire at 16 & I know someone who works there :)</p>
