I've already made my wanted room craigslist ad. I spent a lot of time on it =). I'll post it on the 30th if i get into Berkeley, and right after i decide between UCLA or UCSD if I don't (though i'll have to make a few minor changes!).

Also, i've been looking at available rooms for the last year or so-- and almost every day for the last month or two-- just to see what kind of rooms are available and at what price. My search is generally thus: Berkelely; rooms wanted/ rooms and shares/ sublet & temp wanted/ Sublets and temporary; 400 a month; close to campus.

It's mostly something to do when i'm bored, and it makes me get a little excited every time.

Anyone else check craigslist a ton around their dream school?

I read from the other thread you’re a philosophy major as well…I will be looking for rooms off campus as well if I get into Berkeley.

I was looking for apartments until I realized I was an auto-reject. I can’t work up the hope anymore.

When it says 400 dollars a month, do you pay this with your financial aid money or through loans or both?

^on no empathy you too? Wth happened? What did you miss?

@ thebigshow. When “it” says 400 dollars a month, that’s someone offering a room at 400 dollars a month. I’m not sure if you are asking if it is POSSIBLE to pay rent with financial aid, or if I WILL be paying with financial aid.

If the first-- Ya, you can pay rent with financial aid (or loans or both)

If the second-- Nope. Based on what the other schools are giving me for financial aid, all my FA money is going towards tuition. The rest will be loans, my saved up money, and my parents money, and any money I can get from being a male prostitute :D. Seriously. I could use the extra cash. Anyone? Anyone?
