I have replied privately to this individual.

I am a homeschooler and I'm planning on applying to the AFA this year. I graduate from highschool this month, and will go to college for a year. I hope to bring up my leadership qualities while there. I attended a private highschool in tenth and played sports then, but I wasn't a captain or anything. And since homeschooling for the last two years, and living in Germany, I have not had the chance to get involved in anything like sports or other activities. My dad wouldn't allow it anyway, one because I'm a girl, two because we're Christian and he doesn't want me hanging too close around those who aren't Christians. I believe my chances are very slim, but the most I can do is try my best, work my hardest, and pray for the best. I hope to at least get into the Prep School.

For you home schoolers ... I don't think you have a disadvantage or have anything to worry about

2 out of the 12 kids in me element last year at the summer seminar were home schooled

This could be a problem for you if you get into USAFA.

Yes, I know. But I'll be older then, and Dad will let me make my own decisions after a year of college. I can handle it if I put my mind to it. Others have. Besides, I won't get anywhere without trying, so I'm just going to go for it.
