I suspect that this will become very ranty, so I apologize in advance.

I feel like I'm going to crash and burn, and the only thing that is making me keep my composure is college.

Everyone told me that senior year is "easy," but I have an even heavier course load than junior year (ap chem, ap language, ap physics, ap comp sci). I feel so overwhelmed by projects, including a 20 page paper in ap lit. I've had straight A's throughout high school, but I just feel like not trying and getting a few B's here and there...

My friendships are falling apart. I get out from high school at 11 (city college courses and 0 period), so I usually don't even stay around at lunch. On one hand, I don't have to see the annoying boring people, but I also miss out on a lot of my old friends. In fact, I haven't seen my core group of friends all in one place since last year.

I'm sure there's stuff I'm missing, but those two things are really bringing me down. I just want to make that final push and get into college already. Enough with high school! Yes, I know. I need to treasure my last year in high school, but I'm finding it extremely difficult.

i feel the SAME way !
i just finished 6 applications so a little weight has come off of my shoulders.
im taking 3 APs this year (first time taking them) and a few college and honors courses. then i volunteer at the hospital and library. and then i might just be adding on a job to that .

senior is NOT easy at all . the only friend i really get to see is my bf and thats just because our families are close . other than that i have to turn down sleepovers for studying but on the bright side, 209 days until graduation.

this year is such a drag…the only thing thats keeping me going is that theres only 45 more school days until the semester ends and we’re finally second semester seniors…

My classes this year are harder than before, college apps suck, I’m tired of my school and the small town I live in . . .there! I added my own mini-rant

senior year on paper should be craploads harder than my junior year, but my classes don’t have a lot of HW despite being 6 AP’s, I’ve been getting by working every day after school and getting home at 7, barely doing any hw at home.

Procrastination is at an all time high but I’m hanging on. After college apps are over and second semester starts, man I feel like I’m gonna lose all semblance of a good student… but yeah procrastination, laziness, no work ethic at all, definitely feel burned out.

Guess what folks ? Many people experience burn out at different points in their lives - The people who work 80 hour workweeks , people in medical school , teachers … many careers have burnout also . Graduating from HS and moving away is exciting but it can be stressful as well .
