I will be. Will you & what are you going to take in Jan?
What schools are you applying to?

I’m taking physics

Depending on how everything goes, Math II!

depends on my math 2 score… :(

I’m taking Physics. This is to fulfill MIT’s science subject test requirement.

I’m retaking Math II b/c I was a dumb*ss back in November hahaha
Also, I might be re-taking bio (which I did this saturday!) if I do bad on it.

I’m sending in my SAT Reasoning scores by the Jan 1 deadline, but sending all subject test scores after I take my January test. It’s awesome that a lot of schools accept January test scores!!!

Well I just retook Math II and I’m pretty sure I got an 800 this time (720 last). I’ll be retaking normal SATs (2230, with 650 CR) though.

2230 is a good score (I only got 2200 composite), are you only retaking because of CR?

Yeah. I got really lucky on the writing but I need to raise my CR cause some colleges dont care about writing. :P

lol which is too bad, I think. It’s ironic that schools are emphasizing correct grammar and spelling, along with highly readable papers while not caring about the writing section. Strange.

Let’s say that I want to take the reasoning again to increase my writing score, a 710. Can I see what comes on the January before sending it? If it’s worse I’ll send the 710 one. If it’s better, I’ll send the January one.

Also, what do I then write on my Common App SAT writing score?

Do any colleges not accept SAT IIs taken in January?

The University of WGAC doesn’t accept SAT IIs taken in January.

Stanford doesn’t (checked just now on their website).

@oblivi0n, College Board says that scores are sent out the day they are available to the students. Refer to: [SAT Score Availability - SAT Score Delivery Calendar](http://sat.collegeboard.com/scores/availability)

I think it’s best that you just select the colleges before seeing your score to ensure the fastest delivery. If you see your January scores before sending them out, it may take a while for your score reports to get processed, then sent.

If I were you, I would just not see the January scores before sending them out, in case they don’t get there on time.

i think i will retake Biology E/M :(

What did you get on it? I took it this month, just last saturday. I think I did okay, but I can’t be sure until scores are out

But i want to see my score and compare it with my other takes. Whichever has the highest writing, I want to send that one… Aaaa! I don’t know what to do.

yeah I understand where you’re coming from. I am in the same position, except with subject tests. I ordered score verification but it’s not going to come until January, so I’m re-taking that subject test on Jan 22 (last acceptable date for Ivies & other schools I’m applying to-except for Stanford, which only takes scores up to & including December).

I’m sending in my SAT Reasoning tests first (took it twice), then sending all my subject tests later after registering for January test.

(double post, sorry)

thread, I revive thee!

I am definitely re-taking Math II in January. Maybe even bio, depending on how bad I do… results in 2 days
