It’s here:

[Transfer Student Application | Department of Community Living | Brandeis University](http://www.brandeis.edu/studentaffairs/dcl/forms/transferapplication.html)

Nope, no advising questionnaire yet …

Thanks so much! Yeah, there’s still no advising questionnaire on my sage yet either.

I was accepted! 3.3 GPA out of community college so it was quite exciting, though there were other pieces of my application that I’m sure appealed nicely.

Unfortunately, tuition is through the roof and I’m afraid a financial aid package would require I take out student loans. The prospect of taking off time to travel or go for a masters after my BA is finished with tens of thousands in debt doesn’t appeal so much, so I think I’ll have to be turning it down. Does anyone know of a way tog get finaid without taking out loans, or is assuming that to even be possible overly naive?

No problem, transferstudentx!

jmillsd: Congrats on your acceptance! You can try to contact your financial aid rep and ask for an appeal. They will send you a form that will require you to calculate your family’s predicted income for the 2010-2011 school year. Your predicted income will determine whether or not you are eligible for more aid. Good luck!

@transferstudentx: I got the whole email thing figured out. Looks like if you forward to another account, your bmail account is always going to be empty. That kind of bugs me… Oh well.

It’s 6PM here, so 9PM in MA. Still no Advising Questionnaire… I’ll give them a call tomorrow & ask.

@heymissy: Are you from Cali? The only Upland I know is in Cali… Unless there’s some others out there!

@jmillsd: Congrats for getting in! Have you received your financial aid package? Imo, Brandeis is very generous when it comes to financial aid. I received a scholarship from Brandeis that covers about half of the tuition then on top of that, there were some other government grants; all of those don’t have to be paid back. I still have to take out a loan for a bit of the tuition, but I definitely think it’s worth it. And like heymissy mentioned, you can always appeal your package. There’s also outside scholarhips that you can receive. I know fastweb has quite a few… See if you can apply for some of those!

Hello, all transfers: I just got an email from someone at Academic Services saying the advising questionnaire still isn’t available for transfers on sage. She also said she’d email me when it is available, I don’t know if they’ll be emailing everyone, but if it’s a personal email I can post here when I get it.

I got the email as well. Mine was from Erica.

Have you guys sent in your final transcripts yet? Is there a certain person I should send it to? Or just the regular Brandeis Admissions?

Yeah, mine from Erica, too.

Yeah, I sent in my final transcript last week, just to the admissions office. And they already sent me an updated credit evaluation! They accepted all of my credits without hassle. And they sent me an updated version of that general requirement checklist as well.

Yep, I’m from CA, hpnotiq, and I already can’t stand the summer heat here after living in Boston for a year!

You guys got emails saying that the questionnaire isn’t up yet? I didn’t. The only email I got told me to take the survey and it was from Kim. Am I missing something?

I only got the email after I responded to their office upon receiving an email reminding me to take the questionnaire and not being able to find it. Wow, that was a convoluted sentence, but I hope it was decipherable :)

@transferstudentx

Did you get the updated credit evaluation via mail, or on sage?

I got the update via email.

Oh, the advisor questionnaire is up.

I still need to send in my final transcript, but need to wait 2 weeks since our quarter just ended. I’m worried about my credits especially since I’m coming from a quarter system that only has 3 quarters (I know weird right?)… We’ll see how that works out. Still need to send in my AP scores too!

@heymissy: I love the current CA weather! I live like 30 minutes away from you I think? Ahah not sure. I’m in the OC!

@transferstudentx: Thanks for the heads up for the advisor questionnaire. Never got an email back from Erica.

Have any of you received your housing info yet? I’m in North.

Charles River Quad

Kind of bummed about it. I’m in a single… I was really hoping for a roommate & it’s off campus…

Is anyone else worried about registering for classes?

Yeah. What’s up with putting transfers in singles? I’m in a single in a freshman dorm. How much worse could it get?

Also,
I’m worried about scheduling too, because I don’t understand Brandeis’s schedule. A, B, C… etc.

I saw a chart once, but I can’t find it anymore.

Hey, I’m in North, too. I’m relieved I have a single, but I’m slightly bummed about the freshmen dorm. And I wasn’t worried about registration at all, until they sent that email today, which is making me think I should indeed sign up for more classes than I intend to take in order to drop the worst one.
