Econ 11 is so much easier than everyone says it is. List of classes I took at CC that were harder:

Multivariable Calc
Linear Algebra
The entire physics sequence, but especially 2 and 3.

Hell, the econ examples in Multivariable Calc were harder than Econ 11. A lot of people are pretty bad at math though, maybe that's why they say Econ 11 is hard?

Math 115A is an actual hard class though.

115A at UCLA? Who did you take it with? I might take it in the Fall…

Conley. It’s supposed to be hard no matter what though.

I see, thanks. Sorry to ask but does he assign problems straight from the book?

Yes he does. Fairly hard ones too. He said the tests will feature easier problems than the homeworks because proofs are hard to grade, or something to that extent.

Guess I really have to buy the book, I have an older edition. Thanks for the info :)

I got a B+ in 115A and a B+ in econ 11 in session A. I could have done a lot better in econ 11 as I got an A on the midterm 1 but I was really overwhelmed with 115A at the end because I started slacking off.

The content in econ is really easy though. I don’t know how it is with other teachers but with McDevitt if you do the Study questions it’s easy to get an A on the test. I just ran out of time and wanted to prioritize 115A at the end.

My Math teacher did not curve tests and the averages were in the 60s for most of them.

I don’t plan on going to grad school though so my GPA is not really a concern. It was only important for getting into the UCs. As long as I get a 3.0 at UCLA I’m happy. Plus I have 75 CCC units of 4.0 gpa so when I take my overall undergrad gpa it will be skewed higher.
