<p>So Tufts offers this very interesting 5 year BA/MFA program - but it is insanely confusing to apply. It seems I need to submit applications to both schools....but does this mean I can repeat my essays for both, recommendations for both, etc?</p>
<p>Do any parents have experience with this app?</p>
<p>ilcapo, my son was initially interested in the Tufts/Boston MFA program but like you found it difficult to get clear direction about the program, to the point at which he concluded that neither party was completely signed on to the afiliation. Studio art and history of art are not particularly strong suits at Tufts and I guess they felt that hooking up with the MFA was the fastest way to up their arts quotient. The MFA is a wonderful museum but the combination of its distance from Tufts and the lack of clarity about how it interacts with Tufts made him choose instead a liberal arts school with strong internal art and art history, plus extensive on campus museums.</p>
