Any past or current students at Rice University? Please answer my question.

Hi, I really would like to attend Rice University next Fall. I already applied early decision to improve my chances and even had an interview. I haven't visited the campus for financial reasons but I hope that doesn't count against me.

Anyway, the reason I want to speak to Rice students is because I would like to know what you think got you in. For example, what was your GPA coming? SAT/ACT scores? Did you do any extracurricular activities? Basically, anything that you think let you into Rice.

Also, could you chance my admission Here are my stats:

I have a 3.6 GPA (unweighted) and an SAT score of 1120 (math and reading) or a 1805 with the writing. I have taken numerous AP classes and have even received AP Scholar award. I am in the top 20% of my class. I am Hispanic. I am secretary for Hispanic Student Association and an avid member of Key Club. I'm also in Earth Club. I'm in Spanish National Honor Society and work part time at a local restaurant (Cheddar's).

I’m not sure if being Hispanic will help your application, but I think your GPA, SAT, and class rank are so low for Rice’s standards that you’re looking at a longshot chance at best. It depends on which high school you attended, of course.

If you’ve already applied, there’s no reason to be asking these questions. You’ve already done all you can to make yourself as desirable a candidate as possible. Now just sit back and wait for the decisions to come in.

Yeah like NYSkins said what’s done is done, speculation at this point just causes unnecessary stress.
