I'm an International student and I haven't taken any APs or IB in high school because my school doesn't offer any. But I read somewhere in GaTech's site and it said that I can take GaTech's math exam if I have taken calculus in high school and achieved SAT math score of 600 or higher. But when do I take this exam in GaTech? Also, is math the only placement exam that GaTech requires for incoming freshmen? Thank you.

"The Optional Mathematics Exam for Calculus I will be given by the School of Mathematics on the first day of each FASET session at 8:30 A.M. The location will be posted on the FASET schedule. Reservations are not necessary."

Thanks, maea. Is mathematics exam the only placement exam that incoming freshmen can take?

I think you can also place out of
1371 (Matlab) and
1372 (C)

I'm pretty sure that there are placement exams for foreign language classes for if you have previous experience with the language.

As for other academic classes, I have no idea. [I'm just an incoming freshman too :)]

Does anybody know if a humanities class is a must? If I have knowledge with economics and take a placement exam, can I satisfy that humanities requirement?
