Any Point in Applying Elsewhere?

Hi all,

I'm a senior this year, and had the good fortune of being admitted SCEA to Yale. Yale is my first choice, and it has been since I visited the campus this summer.
I am, of course, very elated to have been accepted, because I was dreading spending my whole break doing other applications. The way I look at it, I should be basically finished with the application process. A few people, however, have recommended that I apply elsewhere despite my admittance: my dad thinks I should apply to H and P "just for the hell of it," or in case my interest change, and my counselor thinks I should apply to the state flagship in case I can't afford Yale.
Personally, I don't think there's any need to apply anywhere else for financial reasons (Yale's financial aid is basically the best in the country, rivaled only by HPSM, and my parents' income is low enough that my EFC should by $0 based on their FA policy.
As far as other top-tier colleges are concerned, I'd say it’s unlikely that my interest will suddenly change, but I suppose it's possible.
So, what do you think? Is there any reason for me to apply elsewhere or should I just click "confirm" and get on with it?

Don’t apply anywhere else. You’re Done! Congrats, man.

By the way, I also applied to Yale SCEA (deferred), but if I did get in, I wouldn’t have applied anywhere else either.

If you aren’t going to go to Harvard or Princeton anyway, you’ll just be taking spots away from people who WANT to go and, also, stressing yourself out for no reason as you wait for the April date…

Enjoy the rest of senior year.

I would apply to a state school. You just never know in life-heaven forbid you get suspended, fail a class, New Haven is hit by terrorists- a low cost back up is a good idea.

Don’t apply to H or P for the heck of it. It smacks of collecting scalps. You applied to Y over H & P for a reason. Congrats!
