I don't see any point of having an experimental section. To me, it's just a waste of students' time and energy, for that section doesn't even count toward our raw score anyway.

Your thought?

They look at how well students did on it in order to decide whether they would be fair questions to ask in the future...

But it's not actually "fair". Some students only get 9 sections and most get 10!

It is irresponsible for any College Board staff to claim that having experimental section is to ensure that future questions are "fair".

how is it possible that some students only have 9 sections? Do they get out early? or do they have to just stare at the wall for 25 mins? oh, or does it depend on what test center you go to?

I've never seen students in my test room only have 9 sections. Everyone has 10 to my knowledge.

Ive never heard of a pink cover test... you sure it's not for kids with disabilities, or something like that?

***.. so i had to work my ass off doing 4 CR sections, when CR is my weakest point, while others only had to do 9 sections altogether? this seriosly sucks.. I really feel like writng a petition or somethin..

It doesn't really matter who those people are. Disabled people already get unlimited time advantage. The content should stay the same. By the way, I am disabled, since I cannot concentrate for five hours doing TEN SECTIONs.

These people must be such a minimal population.....

I highly doubt it's affecting your score any... So what, you sit in the room 25 minutes longer than someone, big damn deal.

sitting 25 mins longer has a serious effect on my concertration.
my concentration has a serious effect on my score.

yeah i think it's retarded that they do that...I expend a lot more energy for that 4th math then I would on the 3rd...plus, they should have everyone have the 10th section, unless they are also experimenting with how teenagers deal with concentration! I agree, that last 35 minutes (last 25 minutes and 10 min section) are the worst!
