Any point of taking non transferable classes?

I guess this sort of question could apply to transferring from community college to any university, but I'm applying to UNC (so I'm posting it here).

Now, I'm going to apply as a junior transfer student, and after my first semester, want to apply to Kenan-Flagler.

At my community college, we have an "Introduction to Business" class, but I checked the transfer equivelency and the credits do NOT transfer to UNC.

If I were to take the class anyways, would it benefit me in any way (like being admitted to Kenan-Flagler), or would I just be..wasting my time?

Thanks everyone

Depends on your outlook. Would you rather get a familiarity with the material beforehand or perhaps take a different class that you could possibly apply to the general education requirements at UNC? That choice is totally up to you.

As far as taking the class anyway, I’m not sure it would help you be admitted to Kenan-Flagler, but I don’t think it would hurt.

Supremely useless advice overall, but it basically boils down to what you would rather do, take a class that will get you some credit or take a class to give you a foundation in something else?

Well said. That definitely helps. Appreciate it! :)
