not sure. but damn you surpassed my post count again...

yeah, i do nothing at work.

If i get accepted in to the UCLA school and receive a business major, can i get a good job with a bachelors degree in business? or do i need a Masters?

it's all relative. What is your definition of a good job?

I think dhl3 will have more to say on this than me....

what would look better...

doing another semester of ccc or not and just work

I will have all pre-reqs and igetc done after this fall with 64 transferable units

if I should, should I take a full load or just take a couple classes

Thanks Cardinal :)

i would say a job that pays 50k+ a year. You think it's possible just with a bachelors in business?

I'd go for the money (with your IGETC and prereqs...you look like a pretty stellar canidate). Also, make sure you have your American Cultures requirement fulfilled.

nope, just grades. And I hardly doubt the ECs you add on from Novemberish to early February would really make a difference.

if im borderline for getting into UCB because of my gpa(3.3~3.4),
should I apply as my intended major with political science,
or should I apply to one of the other majors with higher acceptance rate like middle eastern or legal studies

Do you have the necessary pre-reqs and related activities that would suggest that you're applying for a major in either of those genuinely? If you don't, they're just going to assume that you're applying only because you think it's an easy way in, and that's certainly not going to help you any.

yeah thats what I was thinking too.
Im going to have all my pre-reqs done for poli sci with good grades actually, it was just my first semester of college that really screwed me over.
so i think if i can show them improved grades and write about it in my essay i'll at least have a shot.

do they care about stuff you did in high school, ie hs sports?

nahhhhhhhh

bobbak dont do that....if your poli sci, apply as poli sci....its like cheating, but even worst its just getting into a major that doesn't interest you lol.

what if you get stuck in it? what if you still get rejected?

go for poli sci and hope for the best...if berkeley is your absolute dream school, you can always stay another year and really boost your gpa. good luck
